Merchant ships above 5,000 gross tonnes calling at European ports must report their fuel use and carbon dioxide emissions. Those reports are published once a year, as spreadsheets. Here they are as 22,942 vessel pages instead.

What is on a vessel page
The ship's own reported figures, year by year: carbon dioxide emitted, fuel burned, distance travelled, hours at sea, and how much of the total came out while the vessel sat at berth. From the 2024 period, methane, nitrous oxide and the share falling under the EU Emissions Trading System as well.
Next to them sit the particulars that make a number legible: tonnage, year built, flag, builder, and where the ship ranked against others of its own type that year. Sanctions listings and port state inspections appear where they exist.
Figures are reproduced as reported. Nothing is modelled, estimated or filled in. Where a ship reported nothing for a year, the row is empty rather than interpolated.
